This deserves far more stars, i am loving the game. The beginning was tough to get used to, but once i learned the mechanics and got the hang of resource management, i quickly accelerated up to tier 3 equipment. This is definitely a roguelike on the harder side of the scale, you don't get told anything besides what the townsfolk say and your own experiences and i believe that's what adds its charm. If you like games like noita where knowledge is part of the roguelike cycle, i highly recommend.

Game is well-made, runs well, and looks incredible. But fighting enemies, the core game mechanic, feels horrible. Enemy attacks are poorly telegraphed, you cannot tell how one will behave before you approach, and they will instantly damadge you from any angle (a big deal because of the limited grid based controls) Essentially you're discouraged from attacking enemies and when forced to it feels bad and unfair. Further amplified by small mistakes causing death and forcing restarts.

This one deserves more stars. But, it has serious bugs in the procedurally generated levels, forcing you to restart the "run." This wouldn't be so bad except you lose everything during the run. Once you reach a checkpoint you can go back to town with your items/gold/xp, but you still must start from floor zero once you go back in the dungeon, repeating all the levels. Later on this is a disaster without the teleport items. No tooltips on anything. Fixes would make this 4.5 stars easy.
